Got a set of tires and an alignment done and a few days later after taking it out on the highway, the tire pressure light came on the dash. Checked the pressure and it was fine. Took it back to OK tire and they said that a battery burned out in one of the tire pressure sensors. They wanted over $200 to replace and said that it was just a coincidence that it burned out when it did. My vehicle is 2019 and was told by another mechanic that those batteries typically last for at least 5 years.
Per your review the sensor was working when you left our store, which would indicate nothing was damaged here. While your vehicle is a 2019, the sensor would have been manufactured at any time prior to that. Sensor batteries cannot be changed, the sensor itself must be replaced. We provided you with the cost to replace the sensor, you chose not to. When you came back in, we confirmed the tire pressure was correct, which would indicate we did our job.
